AXA Framlington’s George Luckraft explains why the election result should be positive for equity markets.

It is often said that one thing markets hate is uncertainty. Following what was for many an unexpected majority decision for the Conservative party in last month’s election, George Luckraft believes that UK plc – and ultimately stock markets - will benefit from a more stable environment. As the upward trend for equities continues, George identifies a number of sectors that he believes provide good opportunities for investors.

The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up.  You may get back less than you invested.
